Health Care Reform

The federal health care reform legislation, officially called the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act but commonly referred to as Obamacare, was approved by Congress and signed by President Barack Obama on March 23, 2010. The Act is intended to expand the availability of health care coverage to millions of Americans. While some of the measures have been implemented over the past few years, the most notable impact is undoubtedly the introduction of the health exchanges.
